  1. Thanks for the quick answer. I will try 'Incremental' write type BUT Nero uses 'Disc-at-once' write method (greyed out when burning video DVDs). Might need some weeks before I can post reliable results though #39;( buffer is 99.8 to 100% all the time... Still looking for anyone to confirm this behaviour (otherwise it might also be my own fault...) Btw.: I am using 'ASPI - WNASPI32.DLL' interface. Might any of the other options 'ASAPI', ... solve my problems?
  2. Greetings, I know this is technically impossible like LIGHTNING UK! says "The burn quality is nothing to do with the software being used" but.. I have confirmed it with 35+ DVD+R (Verbatim 8x), same charge, two DVD burner (NEC 1100a & NEC 4570a, with newest firmware), burning speed 2,4x and 4x, same video raw files (*.ifo, *.vob): DVDs burned with ImgBurn often show drop-outs, flickers or hang-ups when playing them (Sony stand-alone player). DVDs burned with NERO 6.6.x.x are all flawless. It is impossible but I double checked it several times! Some facts I detected: - things get worse when burning with 4x (and even more with 8x) - most drop outs happen within the first 10min or the last 20min of the DVD - with ImgBurn it seems (when listening to the DVD burner) that during LeadIn an LeadOut the DVD+R is rotating quite fast... - could there be a different DVD burner drive speed control (ImgBurn vs NERO)? Could anyone confirm this behaviour OR give me any hint what to do? [btw: no time-consuming background processes are running, but even then NERO should suffer more ] Thanks a lot q. maro
