  1. Flashed the drive again now, still same problem.
  2. This is what I'm wondering, since now it sees those RITEK ones too as normal +R. Going to try flashing again later and see if that helps.
  3. And yes, these are pure 2.4x verbatims Write mode has samething, tried swapping blanks also HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H20L 1.02 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2 228 225 Free Space: 4 563 404 800 bytes Free Time: 495:11:50 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2,4x Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Book Type: DVD-ROM Part Version: 0 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: 2.52Mbps Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 0 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 0 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 Also I had this same thing few months ago, but then I had shitty media so burn failed. I 14:24:25 Destination Device: [0:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H20L 1.02 (D:) (ATA) I 14:24:25 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 4x) So driver does support this media.
  4. I had problem with -R DL while ago and now accepted that this drive doesnt even support it. But now I got some Verbatim +R DL (made in singapore) and they only seem to come up as normal +R HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H20L 1.02 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2 228 225 Free Space: 4 563 404 800 bytes Free Time: 495:11:50 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2,4x Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Book Type: DVD-ROM Part Version: 0 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: 2.52Mbps Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 0 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 0 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 Theres the disc info, shows size only as 4gb~ but write speed still is 2.4x for the DL. So wonder if there is something I'm missing and could be fixed? =============================================== Filter Driver Load Order - ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 =============================================== Upper Device Filter: redbook Upper Class Filter: [None Found] Device: CD/DVD-ROM Device Lower Class Filter: [None Found] Lower Device Filter: imapi Filter Name: redbook File Name: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\redbook.sys File Version: 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) File Description: Redbook Audio Filter Driver Product Name: Microsoft

  6. I bought 2 of these since they were only ones I could get fast. But for some reason imgburn only reads them as normal DVD+R and capacity wont go over that. I got LG GSA-H20L and it does support DL dvds and already updated firmware to 1.02. I never had problems with Maxell media, but what could be the problem in here?
