  1. What is the best method of backing up several files over several CDs? 1) Convert all into a 7z or zip file split into pieces of 700MB and copy each to a CD? But if the first or last CD gets corrupted, the entire set becomes useless. 2) Use ImgBurn to create an image file split into pieces of 700MB and copy each to CD? I don't know if it's possible to retrieve any file from a single CD. 3) Use specialised backup software? (I have not tried this, any recommendations?). 4) Use a file manager like FreeCommander to split the files into batches of about 700MB and copy each to CD? The good thing about this method is that the files are independently retrievable, but a lot of work is involved. Any other suggestions? The files are meant for long term backup over several years.
