  1. I removed the DRM, used DVD Flick and ImgBurn and got it to play. Thanks everyone who answered.
  2. Thanks for your input. The file I am working with is a purchased, downloaded WMV movie and DVD Santa will not convert it to another format. I tried several other conversion programs and they will not convert it either. The closest I came was with DVD Flick. It converted and burned to disk using ImgBurn but when I went to play it on the DVD player it said the disk could not be played. When I tried on the computer all the images in the movie were scrambled.
  3. No. I make sure it's set for NTSC which is what US uses. I tried again and this is the log of DVD Flick and ImgBurn imgburn_write.txt dvdflick.log
  4. No. I make sure it's set for NTSC which is what US uses.
  5. I installed the new firmware and used a DVD-R disk. Same result. The movie was converted and burned but the replay only shows a lot of colors but no actual picture. The AVI format movie I converted and burned had no problem. They were both downloaded movies. These are the files that were made. The Audio_TS folder was empty.
  6. Sorry. I 15:58:35 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 15:58:35 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 15:58:35 Total Physical Memory: 1,963,848 KB - Available: 963,804 KB W 15:58:35 Drive L:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size. I 15:58:35 Initialising SPTI... I 15:58:35 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 15:58:35 Found 1 DVD
  7. There is a later version 1.3.0.4 that includes some bug fixes, might be worth a try to use it. If you still get a crash, post in the DVD Flick forum about it, they should know more about the issue. I tried 3 different WMV files on DVD Flick each one took over 7 hours to go through the process. When they got to burning the disk with ImgBurn I kept getting the following error message for the first 20% of burning "Failed to write sectors xxxxxx-xxxxxx Reason: Write Error Retrying 1 of 20. After it got past sector 379935 it continued and then said it was complete. When I put the disk back in the computer I got asked what I wanted to do with the empty disk. An explore of the disk showed nothing on it. If ImgBurn showed successful completion, where did the files go??
  8. I took a downloaded MPG movie and ran it through DVD Flick and it converted it so I can play it on my DVD player, but when I install it in my portable DVD player I get a message that this type of disk cannot be played. 9. These are the files DVD Flick put in a folder it made. The Video_TS and Audio_TS folders are empty.
  10. I am not sure, but I was able to copy the WMV file from my HDD to a DVD and it will play in any computer that I have tried. DVD Flick made a MPEG file not an AVI, sorry for the wrong information. When I check the properties of the movie file and click license, it doesn't show anything.
  11. I ran DVD Flick using a second copy of the movie file. It completed but when I tried to play back the new AVI movie there was no sound and the pictures were all scrambled, a lot of different colored squares. Nothing I have tried, ImgBurn, DVDFlick, DeCrypter seems to be able to allow this movie to be burned to a DVD that can be played on a DVD player. Any other suggestions from you or anyone else? Thanks for trying.
  12. After 0ver 4hours it finally finished, but there was nothing in the Audio_TS or Video_TS folder it made.
  13. Did it state any error code? I can try it again and send you a copy of the log. Also, the preview pane shows a scrambled picture not the movie.
  14. i'm confused So am I. I'm just trying to get a movie I downloaded to my HDD burned to a DVD disk that will play on a DVD player. What other information do you need from me?
  15. :& :& :& I understand that. I inserted the DVD that has the WMV movie file on it into my computer then I opened DVD Flick and added the title. I checked all the settings to be correct then clicked create DVD. The program stopped after 1 hour and 36 minutes and said there were errors and was shutting down. I know you specialize in ImgBurn but you seem to know a lot about the compatible programs. What do I do now or should I try the DVD Flick forum?
