  1. its been asked many many times over the years now...

Just create an ISO of your disc and then Burn it.

Imgburn also gives lazy people the ability to queue their created ISO

and then also delete it after the burning is completed!!

    :P

  2. Virtual Clone Drive or DVDFab Virtual Drive

both have context menu handlers to mount images like you want.

and they actually work right no issues.

i tried with latest FIREFOX BETA,

after installing it and launching it for the 1st time,

COMODO successfully asked me to ALLOW or DENY internet access.

    2121shs.png

not sure why it doesn't work for you,

you must be doing something wrongly :/

  3. i never use alcohol 52%...

i dont like the SPTD driver it installs on PC's..

    i use Virtual Clone drive!!

    http://forums.comodo.com/defense-sandbox-help-cis/defense-causes-problems-with-alcohol-120-resolved-t62745.0.html;msg443849#msg443849

and its not about defense + dbminter!

i said, set COMODO's FIREWALL SECURITY LEVEL to --> CUSTOM POLICY

    NfHzh.png

    not DEFENSE+'s policy....

and actually, i even disable DEFENSE+ completely..

too much windows pop up when its on :P

ive been using COMODO for like ALL my life,

it never bugged on me and it always asked which apps can or can not access the web.

lets try this, send me the app that comodo failed to block it from accessing the web.

  4. I tried the Comodo Firewall but I wasn't entirely sure I could trust it. I have some applications that I desire them not having access to the Internet. I opened some of these with Comodo running and didn't get a prompt asking me if I wanted them to access the net or not

thats because you need to set COMODO's FIREWALL SECURITY LEVEL to --> CUSTOM POLICY

once you do that, each app that tries to access the internet

will make COMODO popup a message saying ALLOW or DENY...

i'Ve been using COMODO for all my life and never had an issue

with it not asking me for an app to access or not the internet...

i always see the message pop up...

    zzzimakmk.png

you can now enjoy comodo :)

  5. my Firware is up2date....

    now what?

Looks like this CMC media is among the Sh**** i've ever encountered,,

i knew these Philips discs were cheap, but thing is,

i've always been successful at burning EL'Cheapo CMC discs..

    Well, untiL today...

Anyways, i got through by burning at 4X... yeah,,, 4x... this s***

(@eSkRo, sorry, I've hidden your post as I'd prefer useful feedback on the location of these rogue registry entries)

I think the problem key will be 'HKCR\DVD\shell\Read using ImgBurn'.

This was replaced by 'HKCR\DVD\shell\open.ImgBurn' in newer versions and that's the one it would remove upon uninstall.

can be yes, it was one of the keys i've listed in hidden post

  7. check in your registry for these 2 keys here and delete them.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\DVD\shell\open.ImgBurn

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\open.ImgBurn

here's an application you can rely on if you encounter problems like that with other softwares

    RegScanner 1.85

RegScanner allows you to Search/Find desired Registry Keys/Values/Data.

    example --> read using Imgburn

    ;)
