  1. Is ImgBurn compatible with Windows 11 even though it was last updated in 2013?
  2. There is an unofficial port of ImgBurn by Nicola Sonetto in the Microsoft Store at https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NTG2L6X1MM0 but the language is not in English. Can you please investigate this?
  3. Why am I only getting maximum read speed of 6X for the Sony 16X DVD-R media? I 16:33:34 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! 4. Why does Windows 8 still show in log even on Windows 10? 20:01:48 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! 20:01:48 Microsoft Windows 8 Core x64 Edition (6.2, Build 9200) 20:01:48 Total Physical Memory: 8,330,620 KiB - Available: 6,574,248 KiB 20:01:48 Initialising SPTI... 20:01:48 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... 20:01:48 -> Drive 1 - Info: Optiarc BD RW BD-5300S 2.03 (J:) (SATA) 20:01:48 Found 1 BD-RE!
  5. Norton is very aggressive and will block many adware components including OpenCandy
  6. Why does Norton Security quarantine the ImgBurn installer as unsafe due to detection of OpenCandy?
  7. Why does CNet Download.com wrap the ImgBurn setup package in its own proprietary Download.com wrapper by default? Is Download.com an unofficial mirror?
  8. Why does the ImgBurn log show unknown for the Windows 8 edition when running ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 under Windows 8?
  9. ISO images usually contains the operating system of either Windows or Linux and should not be appended but the Windows 7 image burner still leaves the disc open.
  10. Why doesn't the Windows 7 built-in isoburn.exe finalize the disc unlike ImgBurn? Isoburn.exe only finalizes the current session after burning the ISO image but leaves the disc open with the last empty session.
  11. Do you have an ETA of when a new version of ImgBurn will be released? Are you planning to drop support for Windows 9x systems since support for Windows 9x has already been discontinued by Microsoft? Windows 9x is not a true 32-bit OS and still contains 16-bit code. Windows 8 will be coming either this or next year.
  12. What does 0, 1 and 2 mean when queried from the drive? Is 3 an undefined value? 3 is the value stored in eeprom as shipped from the factory. Will reflashing the original stock firmware reset this value back to 3?
  13. Where is the (3) after Normal actually taken from in the EEPROM settings?
  14. It's showing DVD-ROM for everything under Next Write and the firmware is the original Optiarc v2.00 version on the drive but has never been updated because there is no update available on the Optiarc's website for the Optiarc BD-5300S-03. This drive supports bus encryption. The last update is v1.04 but is only for Optiarc BD-5300S-0B without bus encryption.
  15. I was checking the temporary values after a power cycle but before burning but the temporary values still show DVD-ROM even though the EEPROM values show Normal.
