  1. Yeah...but i'm having the same problem and i don't know my last driver since i last used it last year when i installed w7/x64. the log is actually pretty small here As you can see in the log below...none of my samsung writers are usable.I want to mention that this happened suddenly at the exact time that one imgburn was finished writing and switching to verify... suddenly the other imgburn that was set to the other writer poped the error with CDB and then i noticed that the writer that just finished writing the disc stopped ...reported some error, dont remember exactly cause i dind't thought i will write this post.I only decided to write after search for the exact CDB code error and found this post. Personally i think it has something to do with intel raid drivers (Intel RST reported some error at the time that the writers became unusable) but i cannot tell for sure. So, if anyone can help with any ideea...would be great. 2. Hi guys, i know this sounds stupid but every once in a while, especially when i install new version of imgburn , my log window somehow gets "lost" onto my other desktop which is my tv in next room, so imagine my frustration trying to get the window back to main display.So...i dont know if this is a bug or only happens to me, but i would really enjoy an option like "stick log window to main program" or something like that.Thank you. P.S. Sorry for not taking the time to search the forums maybe someone else is having the same issue and solved it easily. If that is the case, please someone redirect me to the correct topic. Thanks

  5. hi, i need to overburn a dvd+r with about 2M of data.but, i never manage to overburn successfully no matter what options i used,or what media i used. So, i asume that i do something wrong. Can someone please tell me what settings should i make in imgburn in order to succed to overburn. PS my dvd writer is samsung SH-S223Q Thank you
  6. sorry, you were right about those files, but the problem is real.i'll come back with something solid.
  7. NO MEMORY PROBLEM...,i will try to check the differences between the 2 files
  8. Hi,for a long time now (like 2 years or so) i've encountered some burning problems and i kept hoping in new releases of imgburn will be fixed. Now i realise that maybe nobody complaint about those kind of issues and maybe that is why nothing is done.I don't even know for sure if it is a bug really, but in my experience something is wrong.First of all, let me tell you why do i think it is a bug. First time i've noticed this issue was about 2 years ago when i wanted to back up my 400g harddrive i had in those times on dvd's. (mostly rar'ed files ).I grouped the data in 4.7G chunks (sorted in directories) and started to burn them to dvd's.Then i noticed some dvd's could not be verified succesfully no matter what. Then (after practically threw like 2-3 discs on garbage) i changed media and still the same, error in verifying the data in the same place. Then, i got so frustrated that i burned the same compilation with nero and verify was succesfull, nothing was changed, just added the same data on nero and pressed burn and it was a success from the first try. After that, when i got an error on verifying a disc i just simply burned it with nero and all was ok till i finished backup-ing. That was the first contact with that issue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Later on,i met with that issue in the most unexpected times, and again, after 2-3 coasters i remembered that backup and burnt with nero in complete success. Even later i used cdburnerxp instead of nero and all ok. So, i decided to report this on forums aftar searching if anybody had this issue. Let me be as clear as daylight,i am not complaining,i think imgburn is the best burning program in the history of disc burning, and belive me i started burning discs in 1996!!! with 1x cd-writers and 74min/650Mb cd's. (expensive like hell those discs were!! ) I use imgburn every day and i am very glad it exists!! i just wanted to write this, not as a complaint but as an issue worth testing and sovling. Now, as a conclusion, i want to mention that i tested on different types of writers, different computers and different OS's.the problem is there I attach below the log ,if anyone is further intrested in digging deeper in this issue,i am more then willing to help with any additional details. 9. Hi,i'm not sure if this is a bug,but i will describe the situation anyway. So, i have 3 dvd-writers,i saved a few projects in build mode. Now,I was using one of the writer in let say imgburn instance1 and then,in another imgburn (instance2) i tried to load another project and i noticed that the second imgburn (the one that i loaded the second project) tried to change dvd-writers to the same writer that was already writing project 1.So here was the conflict. Is this how it is supposed to be?imgburn saves the writer in the project?is there a setting to only save the file structure instead of saving the writer to?Cause i find this to be not logical since i cannot use 3 or maybe more writers in the same time with the saved projects. I hope that i made myself clear,i cannot wait for you guys to give me some feedback. Thanks
  10. Hi,me again,on further investigations, i think the problem is somehow related to a TSR program called truecrypt ,latest version 6.0a (www.truecrypt.org).It seems athat after i remove it from memory all 4 writers are able to burn without problem. So, please, is someone is willing to give it a try and see what happens.Thank you
  11. Are all the writers SATA? Could be the issue that you have it connected to a RAID slot. (JMicron one?) Tried to attach the SATA to another non raid slot? I had problems to get my SATA writers to work with my ASUS Intel chipped mother board (P5W DH Deluxe), so I ended up getting an external SATA card. If you run a scan of the burned disc in either DVDInfoPro or Nero DiscSpeed, do the scan look 'awful' from the start of the scanning? (option disc quality) yes, both my writers are attached to sata, i own an asus p5k board with intel chipset, and yes, one of them is on jmicron controller.i will try nero disc speed a little bit later.thank you
  12. see,the thing is that i've been writing this blanks for a long time now, and i never had any problems. Also, i tryed to write with nero, same thing ,verify error.could it be from SPTI?what happens if i change to one of the other options there, like patin-couffin?thanks
  13. Hi guys, here is my problem, lately this week,i mean in the last 3-4 days i seem to have a strange problem writing with imgburn 2420 in write mode and in build mode.it does not report any problem when actually writing but when verifiy-ing and it is always after 90%.at first i thought there is some problem with the verify function an i tried to copy the data to the hard, and in all cases ,short after 90% i got error.i've tried with 2 different writers, same thing happens with both of them.i should mention that the program is set to DAO/SAO mode, and i used the same media as before.i have no ideea what can be the problem,i even reinstalled newer version of intel chipset drivers. After i saw about 10 coasters in last day only,i've decided to turn to this forum and seek help.as i think this is a system problem and not imgburn, here is the list of the latest programs that i've installed/updated last week, maybe some of you know some problems with any of them.I say last week cause up until last week i've had no problems writing whatsoever. Mozilla Firefox DAEMON Tools Lite DVDlabPro2 DoItFast4U ExtractNow FlashGet Adobe VSO URUSoft Java Trillian DIFX Razer here is the log,if someone has any ideea(besides reinstall windows) pls tell, thanks (don't mind the late hours from the log, this last try i left home when i pressed "write",and when i came i pressed cancel on the "verification" error screen!) 14. Hi guys,i've searched the forums for the word "fly" to see if anybody poped the issue with "on the fly" burning. As search returned no results i took the liberty to ask myself, doesn't anybody think that this is an inportant issue?. In my humble opinion, the only "major" thing that imgburn is missing is an"on the fly" mode,or in some way in read mode to write on the fly on some device. So please,if any of you think this is really necessary please write here,or any suggestion you may have, maybe in this way master Luk will take under consideration implementing that in the new version,or in any future version. Thanks
  15. So few? ( .........no wonder i cannot be a betatester, since the circle is so tight ,i was thinking somewhere arround 150-200.OK,i give up, i'll wait for the final version,it's clear to me now that i have no chance.
  16. Anyway, approximately, how many beta testers for imgburn are there right now?
  17. oh ...come on,i even reported a bug few months ago!! P.S. there's no way u can like me.i'm fat and ugly ;) ) LOL
  18. Hi,i have a simple question, how many dvd's you have to burn with imgburn so you be promoted to betatester!! i mean in help/imgburn statistics.over 100 over 1000 over 2000.....etc. i honestly think users that use it intensly (i mean imgburn) should get a chance to test new beta versions. So, pls answer if there is any threshold to cross. Thanks
  19. Hi,i've got the "Unable to lock volume for exclusive access" error, and i've searched the forum for it,but those answers didn't apply to my situation,so....out of curiosity i've enabled the debug mode, and now i don't know how to "disable" it. Please tell, thanks. Also,if you're intrested i think "Unable to lock volume for exclusive access" in my case ("Access Denied") is somehow related with computer coming out of standby with imgburn already open, but if i continue the burnt disc is fine.
  20. Hi,i get this message in the status bar of imgburn 2320 after i finish writing an cd/dvd image in write mode.Device not ready (The request could not be performed because of an I/O Device error).I think this is a bug because of two reasons.1. nero writes ok,image after image, imgburn only writes the first one than it says that message right after finishing, and then the only way to write again is to restart computer and start again. 2. it only happened since a few days ago when i've changed my motherboard/cpu/ram.I should mention that i use imgburn every day,and i know how it should have worked,i mean the expected behaviour.Plus,i did not changed any writer, the same writers worked fine till now (till upgrade). So,if you think it really is a bug,i'll be happy to help more, cause i really need it fixed.i even have some screenshots,if intrested,i could send.I wanna provide as much help as i could, since i know imgburn is the best prg and i want it to work fine in any situation. Maybe it is some ich9 issue,i've updated bios to latest version, windows drivers all to latest versions, even acpi and sptd (147) if anyone has any ideea why is this happening now,pls post here.Thx
  21. Hi,How can i set imgburn in read mode to automaticaly name the file after volume label.it seems only to work if the option "generated automaticaly" is set,but i want the option "most recently used" to work that way either. So, how can it be done?is it a bug??Thx
  22. Yeah well...thank you anyway, sorry for being mean,(with the message above),i was very nervous cause everybody picked on me.No Offense!
  23. This is solely for the porn star wannabe: Look in the mirror...u're ugly, and possibly fat too
  24. ohhh....I see, this is very funny,a simple NO Thanks would do it, but no, they had to make fun.Nice way to treat ppl. P.S. I think it's stupid not to have as many beta testers as you can.Great ideas could come from simple ppl.
  25. Hey!! I wanna be in beta testing too,cause i use imgburn daily!!So, how can I Apply??Thx
