    Format to burn dvd

Is AVI format ok to burn a Dvd with Imgburn?
  2. jameson

    IMG BURN LATEST VERSION

There was nothing on the new Dvd+rw i bought but when using them to burn it says must be formatted and then erasing takes place even though there`s supposed to be nothing on them. Cd burner xp won`t have them but will do Dvd-r as will Img burn without formatting. I`ve yet to get some dvd-rw and try them. Using the + one`s is cumbersome and takes a long time. Strange.

    IMG BURN LATEST VERSION

Is it only IMG BURN? Maybe they have the answer?

    IMG BURN LATEST VERSION

yes, but i use Dvd-r and Dvd-rw regularly and have no problem with formatting on them. Dvd+ is the problem.

    IMG BURN LATEST VERSION

I`ve got version 2.5.8.0 on my computer, is that the latest version? Also i recently found that IMG BURN requires Dvd+RW (Verbatim) to be formatted/erased. I use Taiyo Yuden Dvd-r and other Dvd RW frequently and don`t experience the formatting. I thought it strange that new discs have to be erased, and the process is cumbersome. I also read that later versions of IMG BURN don`t require this. Could you advise please?

    Dvd didn`t fully burn

I always check the source discs, it seemed ok. When played it cut off in the final title.

    Dvd didn`t fully burn

It said the burn completed successfully but it didn`t burn fully. When played it goes to the final title and doesn`t complete the movie. Auto write speed

OK, thank you, just a little more scrolling down. Cheers

    Auto write speed

I received a guide from Dvd Fab regarding IMG Burn Auto write speed. In it shows ( see attached named "auto not)where under the red arrow the words auto and max are. In my Img burn version 2.5.6.0 there`s only the words settings-write speed-copies.(see attached named write speed) Is this correct or, is Dvd Fab using an earlier version??

    Using Build and Write Mode

Could you explain the difference between Build and Write modes please? When i go through DVD FAB>DVD Shrink>IMG Burn the mode is write. Is burning in both modes ok for playing dvds on computer and standalone dvd players?? My attachment shows a message i get sometimes .
