Freeware to view ImgBurn .ibg files.

I was just searching for a free utility that could plot the Imgburn data and I came across this. I was already registered here so just wanted to pop in and say thanks. Nice work!

Imgburn and MCC 004, 4x max

I don't have any verbatims at the moment, but if I can find a good deal I will buy some. I've been using these Playo discs for years which have the same media code as the verbatims. I get excellent quality burns but for some reason my burner will not do 8x with these discs. Finally I decided to ask some experts what might be going on.

Hi mmalves, thanks for the quick reply. Here is the log from the latest burn. You will notice that I changed from SPTI to pcouffin, and DAO to Incremental. But you can ignore that (because the default Imgburn settings result in the same speeds). ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 - Log ; Thursday, 10 December 2009, 11:13:01 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 10:25:59 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! Imgburn and MCC 004, 4x max

I seriously doubt that the following is Imgburn's fault, but this seems like a good place to ask for some quick advice. If you've seen this question before, I am sorry. Feel free to delete this and ban my account if it somehow upsets you. Here is the problem: Imgburn reports that my DVD writer and DVD+R media (Playo MCC 004 00) supports 4x and 8x write speeds. Yet it only burns at 4x...no matter if I select AWS or 8x I'm using the latest version of Imgburn on Windows 7 32-bit. P.S. - Unless I'm mistaken, I was able to burn the same DVDs at 8x in the past. According to the FAQ, my guess is that my drive somehow calibrated itself to only burn this media at 4x. Is that a fair assumption? Thanks
