I was wondering why Booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM never is perminant? Everytime I turn on my Computer I have to change the Booktype again. I have an OLD LG GH22LP20 which Booktyped on its own without doing a single thing. My GH22NS50 and GH24LS70 do not Booktype on their own. do you know of anyway to make booktype settings to DVD-ROM perminant. Of course if I am using Img Burn to Burn to a DVD+R it Booktypes by Default but I have other software that does not book type so I have to change the booktype within IMGBURN and then RUN the other program to get the disc booktyped to DVD-ROM

Do you have a Release Notes Text Document somewhere on the website. To see what has been fixed and what still needs to be fix? I downloaded IMGBurn on my Parents Laptop. I was wondering Do I have to create an ISO of one Disc before I can copy it to another disc. I like recommending your program but some people don't understand the whole ISO thing. They rather just put in one disc click Copy and then wait for it to prompt to insert blank and press continue. If your making a lot of copies of a disc an ISO is perfect. its also perfect when you have a program called VLC media player since it can play a movie in ISO format no problem. its good for people who like to store movies on a Server and have access to those movies from anywhere in the home.

Create Image Layout File is set to AUTO. CUE is Checked by Gray-ed out and MDS is checked but I didn't check it I didn't change any settings. I do not have a BD-ROM or BD Burner. Only a Single DVD Burner. The Disc contains a DVD video which plays in DVD player All I know is ever since I downloaded this program which has been years its always created .mds

Again with mds checked it created a .mds file with the same name as the ISO file which I just called Test.ISO I tried to post the .mds file as an attachment but the forum wouldn't allow me

MDS was definitely Checked after I made the ISO I noticed the MDS that's why I asked about its importance. I have since went into the settings and unchecked MDS under the Read Tab. so should I go back in and recheck MDS and create another ISO?

This is the first time Posting an IMGBURN LOG hopefully I have the complete Log from start to finish. some other programs are easier to tell when the log starts and finishes.

I do want to buy some of those optical quantum Dual Layer Media. Since they use AZO Dye which is what makes Verbatim DVDs High Quality. Everyone should know to look for the AZO logo on the packaging else they discs are CMC even though they have Verbatim Branding.

I really have no idea. Not sure what file splitting is. I could see if a file had to be split between two layers on a DVD. That's all that comes to mind when I hear the word file splitting

Once I have an ISO file I use it to write onto another DVD. At the moment I am only doing Single Layer DVD to Single Layer.

So if I turn mds files off will I get error messages. how will it effect the way the program works

Hello, I wanted to know why when ever I create an ISO I get this second file called .mds why does image burn create this file. what happens if I delete it? Sometimes I will use the Build option instead of Create Image from disc just so I don't get the .mds file. If its useless can you remove stop it from being created in the next update to ImgBurn.
