  1. well i dont think i can upgrade the raid controller more than what it is doing now (~53MB/sec sustained read, 114MB/sec burst). Having a larger buffer would allow me tro cache the BDR in RAM and avoid any problems reading from the RAID controller. its a loaded server so i cant reduce the load on it either.
  2. once again i keep getting hangs with imgburn on my server (windows Server 2012). imgburn buffer is set to max of 512MB (why is it sooo low?? please increase). 4. The paltry disk buffer needs to be increased to at least 2GB. whats the point of having a 512MB disk buffer when you get 8-16GB of RAM in the average machine these days for not very much money. that way i can at least use my machine for doing other stuff without worrying out the buffer runing out when the disk gets thrashed. even utorrent uses a 1.8GB disk cache.
  5. make sure you get ones which support BDXL 128GB quad layer. eventually everyone will have quad layered disks and your burner should be future proof. its around $230 now for a sata bdxl burner. http://www.cdrlabs.com/Optical-Drives/Pioneer-BDR-207JBK-Blu-ray-Disc-Writer.html
  6. nuts. still same size buffer. we need at least a 16GB buffer size as max ... 512 MB is just too small. most machines have tons of ram nowadays but still have disks with crappy i/o.
  7. I have some machines with 192GB RAM and some with 256GB RAM (Dell R81x boxes). Would be nice if imgburn could cache a BDR-DL directly to memory so i dont need any disk i/o while writing files. a 50GB or 100GB RAM settable buffer up from the max 512MB would be nice. The servers sometimes choke on HDD access while writing BDRs at 6x or 8x.
  8. imgurn should have a simple save settings & load settings buttons next to the reset default button. this would be a lot easier than exporting from the registry or using the ini file.
