Hi, I've read through countless of posts first where different write errors have been covered, in most cases you recommend people to use Verbatim discs, that's what I've been using throughout for years. But the brand new LG BH10LS30 drive I've bought go "write error" almost every time. I've done extensive testing with a Verbatim BD-RE and a SONY BD-RE, and it's the same. Coasted Verbatim BD-R (VERBAT IMa-000) too. Sometimes it will burn and verify 100%, sometimes it gets stuck even on quick erase - happened twice. The odd thing is though that I've tried to burn to a Verbatim DVD-RW disc, and it completed the burn and verified okay 14/14 times. Also it seems more or less random where the drive starts choking, can get to 94% completion other times just 3%, etc.. Confusing to me.
I btw have the firmware version 1.00-A9, which seems to be the newest.

I aborted as you see, otherwise this would've gone on and on and on. The few times it manages to recover from a write error and continue burning the verification will fail afterwards, with a massive number of miscompares!

Blue light keeps flashing on the front and the drive is making a sorta low clicking noise. Imgburn's cancel function doesn't work, eject doesn't work... time to restart or wait for it to fail two more times, I guess.
Don't have a log for the Verbatim BD-R, but it did an I/O error popup first where it did the whole write error thing again, and went "Reason: Invalid Address For Write" in the log after every write error and retry.
Even had a Power Calibration error once or twice too this weekend.
