You did everything right, the issue is that the DRIVE is reporting a generic error (invalid field in cdb) that doesn't mean much, instead of reporting an actual real informative error such as 'write error...'. combining both topics on 2 forums and the fact that you're using quality media, I'd go with faulty drive.Thanks for the reply Lightning, but I am confused. Didn't I print your programs error logs? Shouldn't they provide what you need ?

As i told you there (and as is said in the pink box up top) you need to post the entire contents of the IMGBurn log window. Images alone mean squat.only then will lightningUK be able to troubleshoot the error(s)
@lightning we've already confirmed at the AnyDVD forums he's using the latest firmware available for that drive and using the good stuff blank wise

Your drive doesn't like the crappy CMC mag discs you're using. Switch to the good stuff. Verbatim DVD+r do with MID mkm-003-00

You say you're aware but apparently not of what's said. If you were you'd know that the only thing is contained is the opencandy dll. It's that dll, NOT IMGBURN that's responsible for retrieving and showing the offers you see. Go complain to the ones responsible for opencandy, if you can find them. Opencandy itself has had support dropped by the devs.

It should IF as I said you used the proper UDF type filesystem AND your player supports bd5/bd9. Not all players do. The only way for you to know for sure is to try

Yes it can, but pretty sure in that case only 'movie-only'. As the size reduction needed is too big for a full disc copy to DVD. Think about it, a full BD50 can be 45gb even to a bd9 that's 8.5gb that's a 5x reduction. You need to calculate in the video, audio, subtitles, bitrate restrictions... I'd have try it but I have no need for that method. The best option for that would be movie only with 1 audio track, subtitles (even if you keep all of them) don't need a lot of space
BD50 to BD25 is simple. That's no more complicated than CloneDVD dvd9 to dvd5. CloneBD is the Blu-ray equivalent of CloneDVD2 and CloneDVD Mobile (Avi,MP4,mkv...) combined into a single product. Feel free to try it out :-)

You're saying the opposite mate. He's not burning a DVD folder on a BD, but a bdmv (Blu-ray) folder on a DVD. That constitutes a bd5/9 which is a valid format but not all players support it'

Imgburn doesn't upload anything and it never has. Uploading means sending something to eg a file host such as rapidgator or your Google drive. Imgburn only sends data from your hard drive to blank disc aka BURNING. Data not being on the disc generally means you had test mode active, or using crappy blanks.

Sure it can, to imgburn it's all just data. What matters is if you'll use the proper UDF type and if your player supports 'bd5/bd9' type discs. Although it's burnt to a DVD, due to the bdmv structure is classed as a Blu-ray. Not all players support those, especially not if the menu is Java based.

You suspect wrong. Use the search. It's flagged never of the opencandy dll. Which is responsible for the ad offers. No more, no less. Neither the site nor download are compromised. You can disable the offers multiple ways, the search will tell you.

Yes it does allow you, and no imgburn doesn't have a malware loader. The opencandy dll does the loading of the offers, NOT imgburn or the installer.
The opt-out LOOKS disabled (greyed out), but still selectable. Then there's the /nocandy switch and the option to temp disable you're internet connection. All of the above will prevent the DLL from loading the offers.
So no, imgburn doesn't violate any statutes. Federal or otherwise, do the research.

It downloads wherever your BROWSER that you used to download is configured to put it. Usually by default that's the /downloads folder under your username. The program files (x86) is the installation folder, that's completely different.

Probably we'll have the same idea. My money's on a DVD-ROM & CD burner combo drive in the system. Since the Wii uses DVDs that would explain why imgburn sees no drive.

You don't, but every disc has one whether you like it or not. There's NOT A SINGLE DISC in the whole world that doesn't have a volume name. Some movie studios for example lack to set a specific one for a movie and the disc so shows just 'bd_rom". Well that 'bd_rom' in that case IS the volume name.
When you don't specify one yourself, IMGBurn will simply use the root folder name AS the volume name. A volumenameless disc DOES NOT exist, period.

There's no way to tell it NOT to use a volume label. EVERY disc has one. But there is a setting to automatically say 'yes' to that question. It'll then just use the root folder name as volume label. But you then also love the 'volume label slider' all the way to the left (from 30sec to 1sec I think). That'll get rid of the 'popup' screens for volume label.
I never set one either, that's how I do it.

The main issue with matSHITa ones is if you plan on using it with eg AnyDVD to decrypt foreign region discs. (Eg disc is region 1, drive region 2) even with a set hardware region, there's something in them or the firmware that prevents eg AnyDVD from doing it's job and remove DVD disc region.

It's faster yes, but there is a risk. 1 faulty sector on the source disc that the drive can't handle and you either have a successful burn but faulty on playback or the drive can't handle the faulty sector and data stops flowing and the backup burn ends too.
