  1. Do you know how to find out which filter that would be ?
  2. Thanx for your answers! @Peru: That's what I did in the first place but resultng in what Lightning_UK said (Data Image). But as always try before cry. @Lightning_UK: Would it be possible to integrate that feature (create an audio cd image from audio files on harddisk) anytime soon ? If you're wondering why something like to have that, it would be of help to test the created cd-image for any errors before burning. What library or algorythm did you integrate for audiofile-conversion to cd-format ? Or different, do you know in which category the audio converison quality of imgburn's is fitting to ? Just wondering if they have mastering quality or not...
  3. Hi, I'm just stuck and can't figure out the right way... I would like to build an audio cd image from audio files, but I don't want them to be written to a cd immediately. I just played around to get that working, but I only get the option to write the resulting cue file to a blank cd and not as an image... Is that possible with ImgBurn overall ? I can't find the right setting for it...
  4. okay, thanks for your reply... there are two cruel things happening with this burn: 1. 2nd ide-channel, where the dvd-burner sits on, reports to drive in PIO mode, earlier Ultra-DMA-4 mode, other burns with dvd-r media are running at 0,7 KB/s 2. it can be reset to DMA by deinstalling the 2nd channel from windows only and reboot the system to let it recognize it again, otherwise it would be set to PIO forever I need to get some of the Verbatim blanks to confirm.
  5. Hi, I just got an error with a Dual-Layer burn. It was drive's 2nd Dual Layer disc so I've got no experience with that. Hope you can find something in the log. The drive sits on the 2nd IDE-channel as master. I just found a firmware update to 1.07. Is it the media or the drive ? Error message: Finalise Disc Failed! 6. Unique Disc Identifier: [DVD+R-DL:RICOHJPN-D01-002] they are 1,12 EUR per disc (50 pcs.) Do you know something about their quality ? I'm looking for some 8,5gb blanks to use with a plextor 760. Do you have any recommendations ?
  7. problem is solved, it was the cable! THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR TIME LIGHTNING_UK!
  8. hey lightning_uk, i guess the problems are caused by a 40-pin cable that i used in the past for my pioneer-burner, as i replaced the burner with the plextor one i sghould have used the delivered cable right away, which i didn't. As I'm changing the case of this computer completely, I'll put in an 80-pin cable for the burner in this process and will report again. I checked everything else you mentioned and the cable-replacing should do it...till tomorrow...
  9. I recognized I can't read anymore, I need to read with more patience but am to tired and do the next steps tomorrow...THANKS AGAIN!!!
  10. the cable is ok, the bios is the last available, the drive is set correctly (no cs), it's in the right place m/s wise. there is no other device on burners cable. the chipset drivers are up to date. The FAQ, especially DMA-Area brought this: I guess it should be ok, that there are two times the same IDE-entries, because P-ATA and S-ATA are handled seperately on this board, but am I right ? Is it possible to reinitialize the IDE-stuff on Windows ? I'll check the bios settings again...YOU ARE ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL AND FAST, THANK YOU !
  11. Hi, I just got this error response while verifying the burn. Could this be affected due to the fact that i added a SATA-harddrive to the system, already has a P-ATA-RAID and a P-ATA system drive ? All hosts onboard (Asus P4C800-E Deluxe). Or does this happen because it's a IMG-Image, build on a Mac ? In the past I already was able to burn these kind of images with Imgburn, just asking... What do you suggest to check ? I flared already two blanks and it seems that a dvd-rw has been corrupted, too. Protocol: I 15:51:17 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! 12. and I lied about the NAS, it's a 100MBit-NAS, but other comp has a gbit-nic I'll upgrade the device and try again... any ideas why the buffer is not being filled continuously ? Does it have to do with the burning-device or software-settings ?
  13. Firmware is 1.04 I just found 1.06 here Where do I get the 1.10 ? The NAS box is doing nothing at the time I burn one image. The highest I've seen in ImgBurn was something like under 7000 kb/s, the maximum with a normal file-transfer is 1000 to 2000 kb/s higher.
  14. Hi, I have to burn a few images from a Network Attached Storage (NAS) directly to a clients PC DVD-Burner (Plextor 760). What are the best settings ? It is a Wired-GBit-LAN...I'm wondering because i got a warning-message at 16:59:45 Waiting for buffers to recover while it's burning...I guess the burn had been paused due to filling buffers, is there a setting that ImgBurn fills the buffers while they are clearing ? I set the buffers to 256 MB to avoid something like that...hope you could help me setting ImgBurn so that there is no break while it burns... Burn log: I 16:53:45 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! 15. Hi MarkC, thank you for your time and suggestions! IsoPuzzle just crashed on this system...and Imgburn 2.2 is being installed a few mins ago and it seems as it does what I searched for
  16. Any recommendations for the best imager ? does one know if copy-modus (1:1 or 1:image) is going to be realized in ImgBurn near future ?
  17. Hi, I would like to do a simple disc copy with Imgburn, is that possible ?
  18. i don't like BenQ as a company and even the logo on the drawer is pretty uncool...no thanx. With Plextor there seem to be some more accuracy in burn-quality and further tools to verify these, what do you think about this add-on...Plextor is known for very good or even mastering quality audio-cds, aren't they ?
  19. I'm wondering what the difference would be, I surfed the company's website and found only, that the 760 is capable of burning dvds at 18x while the 755 will stuck at 16x...
  20. I think I'll go with the Plextor 755 or the 760, what do you think ?
  21. Can I assume that the write-laser is not the same as the read-laser in a dvd-burner ? Because the drive is still able to read dvds and cds... How do I check if the lens isn't too dirty cause of dust-issues or something like that ? Are these cleaning-cds doing their job as good as the manufacturers of these cds are telling ? Should I give it a try ? Which drive do you people recommend as a replacement for my old Pioneer DVR-106 ?
  22. I gave it another burn with a Verbatim DVD-RW and it does the same with this rewritable: I burned another image with ImgBurn, after the burn and cycling the tray (3 times) the recordable isn't recognized. But I was able to Erase the Disc with ImgBurn again and it'll show up as Free Space: 4.707.319.808 bytes in the info-box. At frist it seems the laser isn't working correctly anymore, is there a test to clear that out ? But, there has been a windows-update recently (with a few security patches and a framework 2.0 security patch), only a few days ago, could it be, that these updates interfere with the burning capability of my drive ? This evening I will deinstall the drive from windows and reboot, so windows is able to re-recognize it again, if this helps I will report, if I'm not reporting it would be still the same... What can I do more ? I need to free up some space... #39;(
  23. well, I guessed that TOAST is standard on Macs (were the image comes from), and if it uses a Roxio-Engine that is to be avoided, what else is recommended on Macs ?
  24. i mean the image not the burnt disc! please read carefully
