It wouldn't fail burning, it would fail playing in the Xbox360. Not an ImgBurn issue. Visit sites dedicated to Xbox360 backups for recommended burners and media.
Is this a first burn or an erase and reburn? What's the condition of the disc? Post the burn log. Those disks only support 4x burn speed. Is the burner firmware up to date?

It's the cheap media, not the burner firmware.

Reset to default settings. Then enable FHT and Smartburn only, and burn at 4x
