It's the burner and the media. Liteon iHAS and Verbatim MIS are recommended with BurnerMax Payload Tool for XGD3. Check out LUK's extensive testing of all three aspects in this forum.

Another program is not letting ImgBurn have excusive use of the burner. Possible another burning app or a media player app. Close all other apps that may use the drive.
-
Yes, he was already given that advice elsewhere.

Open IMGBurn, Help > IMGBurn Log...

Nero DiscSpeed works also.

I found the Sony doesn't scan disks well. I have an iHAS, not flashed, I use for scanning with Kprobe.

Thank you I will try buying some new disc and see if that helps if not ill just go buy a Sony Optiarc or ihaz
I'll save you some heartache and advise you to get the new burner also. I haven't seen any evidence of acceptable XGD3 backups from any Samsung burner. The Sony Optiarc 5280S-CB and Verbatim MIS will give you the most reliable results. That's been my experience anyway. The Liteon iHASx24 B, C and D revisions are also good, but sometimes require a little tweaking of settings and a few coasters depending on your system. Lightning UK has done extensive testing of both burners, BurnerMax Payload Tool, and the Verbatim media, which can be found in this forum.

Would this be a retail copyright protected disc?
-
I tried to make a copy on a dual layer but it didnt work.
Post the burn log. More info please

You'll be fine with the Optiarc
I hope so! I'll post an update once it arrives, has been hooked up, and tested out.
Thanks!
I can also confirm. I have never had a bad backup with the 5280S-CB.

IHAS124 C and D revisions work just fine with the Payload tool. Lightning UK has done extensive testing of many drives using MKM001 and 003 media and the payload. Your Toshiba / Samsung burner may show the payload enabled, but clearly it is unable to produce XGD3 backups.

I do use the payload tool, i thought i says the size in the log.
The payload tool may show enabled on many burners, but very few beside the Liteon iHAS actually produce acceptable XGD3 backups, if at all.
-
I have yet to see a Samsung successfully produce an XGD3 backup. Very few besides Liteon iHAS will.

Use setting of burn 2, 3 and 4. Burn at 4x, not Max.
-
Try IMGBurn 2.5.7.0
-
Use Verbatim made in Singapore.
-
Burn at 4x, disable Online FH, enable Smartburn.

I was hoping to see better results from this burner as its specifically mentioned in the BurnerMax app. I have one on the way, although I don't know for sure which revision it is yet.

I wan't to make copies of my Wii games and X-Box360 games, but my PC will not even read the discs. Clearly I can not burn an image if I can't even read the disc.
When I insert a game disc into the drive while ImgBurn is running, the ImgBurn status bar reads "Device not ready (Logical unit not ready, cause not reportable)".
My HTPC is an Intel i3 CPU 540 @ 3.76GHz w/4GB RAM & 32bit operating system. Windows 7 SP1. My disc drive is an LG BluRay R/W.
Any suggestions?
PC burner won't read Xbox retail disks.

XGD2 are fine on many other brands and burned with most standard burners. XGD3 are different. Newegg, Amazon and many others carry Singapore made Verbatim, not difficult to get at all. Most sites related to Xbox 360 and backups will tell you exactly the same.
