    boot selection failed

If you want to burn a bootable disc it is necessary to have the right burn options besides the content of the disc. So the file system should be "ISO9660 + Joilet", the ISO9660-Restrictions should "Allow Files Without Extensions", the Joliet-Restrictions should "Allow Files Without Extensions" and "Add ';1' Version Number To Files" should be checked. Now the disc boots! best greetings FileMike

    boot selection failed

Hi, I burned via ImgBurn a boot cd for a windows 7 enterprise 64 bit system (as described in the imgburn guide), this means I copied the necessary files to the cd and gave the necessary information about emulation type, boot image, load segment, etc. to the imgburn tool. When I compare this cd with the "official" ms reparation cd, all files and necessary information about boot record volume, boot catalog, virtual disc are equal - there`s only an additional ISO/Joliet filesystem on the "official" cd. But when I start the system I get the following message: --------------- Boot Manager: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1.Insert your Windows installation disc and restart the computer. 2.Choose your language settings, and then click "Next". 3.Click "Repair your computer." If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. Status: 0xc000000f Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. --------------- The offiical reparation cd works fine. What could be the reason? Perhaps Security? Which device is inaccessible? Thanks in advance FileMike

    Save Settings permanent

Hi! I want to run ImgBurn in the commandline mode in a way, that every run uses the same settings - besides the sourcefilename, the volumelabel and the speed. I want to be sure, that there is no possibility to change this fix settings f. e. by using the GUI-version of ImgBURN. Is there any possibility to save the fix settings?
  9. Hi. I´m using ImgBurn in the commandline mode to burn discs. This should happen in silent mode, that means I don`t want to have any disturbing messageboxes, prompts, user interactions etc. in the burning process. This works fine (with the right settings and programm arguments) as long as the burning process succeeds. In case of having a write error, a messageBox pops up showing "I/O Error ... ScsiStatus: 0x02, etc..). At this point the user has to interact by clicking "Retry" or "cancel". Is there any setting in the imgburn tool to avoid this? I don´t want to have any MessageBox, I just interpret the return value. greetings from FileMike
