    Burn Speed

Hello -- I noticed that a cd I was burning ( from an iso ) was going at 40x, but the cd packaging noted the speed at 52x -- I had imgburn set to MAX -- would it have worked if I manualy selected higher speeds? Thanks fpefpe

    imgburn struck?

Hello -- I started imgburn to burn an iso file to disc. I loaded a blank disc, started the program, selected the ISO file and the last item in the log was that imgburn was trying to lock the dvd drive. It remained in that state -- but nothing happened. I tried a 2nd time with the same outcome -- I rebooted the computer (win7) and it seems to be working now Does anyone know how the dvd could get locked up so that imgburn could not get it? Thanks

    Slow (hard) drive

Hello -- using imgburn to create an dvd from an ISO image. The image ( ~4G) was stored on my NAS drive -- The NAS drive and the computer that did the burn are hard wired to the router and all are running at 1G speed. I did notice the fillowing in the imgburn log -- ************************************** I 22:10:47 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 22,160 KB/s (16x) I 22:10:48 Filling Buffer... Would it make sense to add an option to imgburn to copy the ISO to a "caching" location, maybe the %temp% folder so that the burn process would run faster? Thanks

    Slow (hard) drive

Hello -- I had a dvd iso on a usb2 drive -- I tried to burn the image on a disk but the process seem to be taking forever -- I also notice a message of some sort and the botton of the (burn) window that imgburn was trying to reach some level. In this case were the source of the ISO is "too slow" does imgburn try to copy the iso to %temp% and read it from there? I did stop imgburn and copied the iso to a local disk (SATA) on the computer and burned from there and the process just took a few minutes to finish Thanks fpe

    Read vs Build mode

Hello -- I have 2 dvd drives on my computer. One drive will not let me "read" a dvd to make an image copy of it, while the other will let me make a iso image via "read" These are the devices I have 0:2:0 hp DVD-ROM TS-H353C H430 0:3:0 hp DVD-RAM GH60L RD01 Any info would be appreciated

    Larger than 4G

hello -- thanks for the reply ... I did find what I was looking for in the documents at the web site ... I know now that when burning a disk larger than 4G, I have to pick a spot on the disk where the burning process switches from layer a to b ... thx for the info

    Larger than 4G

Hello -- sorry if this is a repeat question -- but where can I find info on creating ISO iomages that are larger than 4G -- I created a image that was around 6G, but when I tried to create it I got a pop-up asking about splits in the files -- where can I find out about this and what is the correct reply to the question -- thanks
  16. Hello -- I wanted to burn a CD with various data folders -- some were levels deep -- I when to the "add folder" button and selected the folder, but when it was added to the cd "root" it included all the parent folders up to the drive letter -- How do I get this to just insert the selected folder at the root of the (to be burned) CD? I got around this by using subst to the folder I wanted to be at the CD root Thanks

    Parent folders/directories

Hello -- Sorry for the mis-post -- I will not do it again -- thanks for the reply
  18. I just started a new project -- building an ISO from folders. I slected a folder, then added it to the project, but what was added was the selected folder and its parents, up to the drive letter -- How do I added folders to a project, so the added folder does not contains any of its parent folders? Thanks
