  1. Two questions: 1. Is there a project setting to specify ignore files that are in use or is this only a program execution setting? For the heck of it I inserted "ISOBUILD_IgnoreInUseFiles=1" into a project file but it had no effect and was removed from the project as confirmed after project save / load cycle.. 2. Are project variables & values documented somewhere? i tried to exercise some due diligence in locating the same with no success. Thanks.
  2. Thank you for your earlier reply regarding the difference between standard and advanced mode project files. That prompted me to briefly examine the project files when the difference between the two was immediately clear. Since the advanced project appears to be a list of all dirs and files to backup can you confirm that once an advanced project is created and saved any files or subdirs that are subsequently added will not be included in the project unless explicitly added? Secondly, if this is the case, advanced input mode should not be used to create projects to perform general backups since in time new folders and files will not be inclulded? Thanks
  3. I am using version 2.5.8.0 (as always an awesome program). Whenever I open a saved project in advanced input mode, the disk layout editor closes, a popup announces that the saved project was successfully loaded and the project contents are displayed in the standard input mode panel. When I switch back to advanced input mode the project contents are cleared as though starting to build a new project. Similarly if I start to build a new project in standard mode and switch to advanced mode, the project/disc contents are cleared. What am I doing wrong - I am trying to edit existing projects in advanced mode but they are always cleared. Is it not designed to function this way? Please help.
  4. Thank you for your reply. My mindset was the same as when using backup software which, of couse, saves folders under their hard drive info - hence my confusion. After reading your reply I woke-up and smelled that I was simply the adding everything from different drives to one folder = the BDR. duh! Will prepend folders will drive letter or not mix drives contents. Thanks again.
  5. I am trying to backup various folders from an old laptop to BDRs. Options are set to: Data Type: MODE1/2048 File System: UDF UDF Revision: 2.01 Preserve Full Pathnames Recurse Subdirectories Include Hidden Files Include System Files There are multiple copies of nearly identical folders on different drives (these folders have the same names and nearly identical content-they appear to be snapshots in time, but not 100% certain). In build mode I get the error messages such as: Cannot add file to folder! File: 'american.clx' Folder: '\INTERNET\EUDORA\v521\' Reason: A file with that name already exists. A search confirms that the named file is in identically named folders on different drives : Name In Folder american.clx G:\INTERNET\EUDORA\v521 american.clx C:\Internet\Eudora\v521 Again I trying to make a backup BD - no video, DVD, etc. so there should be no format constraints. Why is this a problem and how do I fix it?
