News about the 3th new disc. I unchecked all the three format options and did a burn. IMGBURN told me to format, and he did in a few seconds this time. I know its logical because of the unchecked options. The disc is good!! So I guess its solved now, I got three good discs now. It is weird why the first disc did not proper format tho. I wish I had a fourth disc to simulate it again.

SOLVED! I now reformatted the same disc (nr.1) with NERO, at least I did a full delete on it, and now this disc is usable whatever I do. So IMGBURN had done something in the very beginning with the disc that broke the compatibility with stand-alone players. Its sounds crazy, and I sure want to know what the technical explanaition is. Now I know how to use these Verbatim's BD-RE discs, I try once more to prepare my 3th disc with IMGBURN again, but then with different options checked. I will uncheck all of the three "prefer format" options in the settings, and give IMGBURN my new 3th disc.

I have news about the subject! I bought 3 of those Verbatim BD-RE discs. Like I told you, the first one gave troubles. I now tested the same movie on the second disc but I prepared the disc (format) with NERO this time and it all works. So my guess is that IMGBURN somehow formatted the disc in a strange way. The first time with the first disc IMGBURN was formatting, and after that he was zeroing the disc. It took hours for both actions to complete. I think there is the issue somewhere. Are there different format parameters to configure in IMGBURN with BD-RE?

Thanks. I have made hundreds of discs so it must be something else then all my hardware. I have 3 hardware players and they all not read the creation. Maybe it's because of the BDMV. I read at Wiki that BDMV is not supported on version 2.1 discs BD-RE, but it is supported on BD-R. Look at the versions here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc_recordable When you read that it seams that version 2.1 BD-RE cannot handle BDMV folders. I drag and drop BDMV folders in the BUILD from IMGBURN. Maybe an ISO file will work. Can someone confirm this 2.1 issue after you read the Wiki?

Yes it does work in all my pc players with powerdvd without a problem.

For clearness, I do this for more then a decade and I thought I knew all the variables. There must be something wrong with the discs then, because I didnt change any other factor. No I am not confusing anything. Afcours I always burn the discs in UDF 2.5. But I talk about the version 2.1 because thats what the seller advertised. The version 2.1 bd-re is maybe not capable of doing BDMV when I look at Wiki, but then again I am not sure about that when you burn such a disc as udf 2.5 Blu-ray spec. Thanks for listening you all. Hi, I have many experience with Imgburn and bd-re and bd-r. This week I tested Verbatim bd-re and the result is readable on pc but not in my ps3 and stand-alone players. I never had this problem and I am wondering if it can be some version problem. The discs are 2.1 The first time I used the disc in Imgburn the software was asking me to format the discs and it did a whipe first, after that it did a zeroing. Can someone confirm that version 2.1 can not handle blu-ray video readable on a stand-alone? I copied BDMV to the disc in UDF, thats the thing I always do with succes.

Hai, This is not realy a problem, but more some interest in why my write rate fluctuates a little. I burn BDR-50 Verbatim (tried another brand also) and the speed is set to 4x. The speed is falling down to 3.9 on one burner, and 3.5 on the other burner. Buffer and device buffer is fine, and I tried to do it from other locations. Because its the same in every situation I suppose its not a problem and its something IMGBURN does. Its about 20 times that the speed is falling down a little for a few seconds. It looks like its writing chapters or something? But maybe someone can tell me what the drive is doing at such a moment. Situation is as followed: windows 10 (I tried two machines) LG burner extern (I tried an intern one also) Verbatim bdr-50 (tried another brand) iso (tried BDMV also)
