do you think better disks will resolve the issue?

Thanks I knew the discs were garbage but its all i had laying around the house and wanted to see if i could getting it working fundamentally before buying better discs. I'll get better ones tomorrow and see what happens.

I downloaded a BIN/CUE file of sonic CD from emuparadise and open the CUE file in imgburn. The Sonic CD file does work in a emulator. After the buffer gets to 100%. I'm getting an error for "incorrect function." After cancelling that error I get an error for "track follow error". My drive apparently will only burn at 10X or higher and I know less than 6x is preferred but i don't know if that's the issue. Just bought a sega CD and want to try some games before i order them.
