  1. Aaand new player = BOOM! Playing fine. I wouldn't have thought it'd make a difference, given that my PC has coded every one of them, but I guess it does.
  2. OK--the drive isn't very old. Had the player for a while, but again, this happens only with a very few DVDs (which I tested in another player, with the same result). I've been using TY media for many years without this issue, including on this drive. And they are processed, sometimes--I run them, if necessary, through DVD-Shrink, which, again, I have been doing for many years. Just ran the disc through a READ cycle on ImgBurn, and it went fine. Oh, and I have no idea what the zero seconds bit is about. Going back through what logs I have, I see that several times, but this is the only one of those that refuses to play. So... ~? I'm going to pick up a new player today and test it in that. If it works, I figure the player's just gone wonky. We'll see. Thanks!
  3. Hi, all. The answer to this may be posted someplace, but I'm darned if I can find it. So... I have recently been coming across some movies I have burned--pretty much all recent releases--that, when inserted into a standalone DVD-player, will play the menus just fine, but as soon as you select the main movie, it just stops. Pfft, shut-down. I didn't think I had any logs, as it is usually a while between the burning and the watching, but after checking some of my most recent efforts, I found one that craps out on me. So, without further ado...the log. I 10:27:26 Operation Started! I 10:27:26 Building Image Tree... I 10:27:29 Checking Directory Depth... I 10:27:29 Calculating Totals... So far, this is a minority of what I burn. Most stuff has played just fine. This is at least the third time it's happened that I know of, meaning there are probably more somewhere in my library. Is this an Imgburn issue I can rectify? Do I require a newer DVD player to overcome this? Help! Thanks! Chuck
