I don't want to sound stupid but did you finalize the disk

i Have the same drive external and the same happens to me starts at 4X and gradually goes to 8X at 25% so ithink it is the way the drive work. I am going to try changing the device into internal instead of external but the cover case on mine is broken because i tried to open it before

Could you Lightning UK explain what do you mean by filter drivers not returning from I/O calls Please? the discs i am using are Imation which i have been using them on the same DVD drive but with Windows XP instead and i had no problems then

I tried to burn an ISO File with ImgBurn but it never got past Writing leadin Stage and it stays there for ever or until i end the program. What is causing this?
