  1. I'm sorry, didn't really mean to bring those apps into the discussion nor am i playing with copywrites. I was just curious, sorry.
  2. Kinda newbie question, but what is: padding ? , % ? , LU? , V/C ID, and SPLIP ? It appears in the titles of the "Create Layer Break Position" Just wanted to know what each one was, and what is the best option. Sometimes all the options appear with a silver star/avg rating for layer break. So just wanted to know how to tell what will be better. -Thanx
  3. I get an error saying VTS-02 is not optimal L1 quality or someting... i just click ok... it's burning.. what will happen? what i do? W 22:01:11 Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found! (VTS_02)
  4. i thought building and iso with an iso is redudant. Will it burn with the original Layer break?
  5. In fact this happens with sigle layer ISO preperation. I used Ripit4me>(Decryprer)> then I took the produced ISO and tryed to build.
  6. SO sorry to truble you guys agian, but I am having a little trouble. "Cannot add file to image! /MyImaage.iso 6,466,752,512 bytes ISO Limit: 4,294,967,295 bytes Reason: File size exceeds the limit imposed by the ISO09660 file system" I get this error when I hit build. I guess it tell me why it's happening... But I just can't ever recall having a problem with this before. I have an ISO that wants to go to a DVD+R DL. Unfortuantly the calculate shows me this. Is this where I amend the media capacity to custom? (Found in the Labels: Advanced>Media then double layer profile, on the drop down i have DVD+R DL) Please advise Thanks so much.
  7. I recieved my LH-20A1HX today, and i am soo happy. I wasn't doing anything wrong after all it was my S***Y writer... ThanxLUK for your help, and everyone else. The drive is wonderful, it is burning DVD5 in less than 4 min! It is kind loud... but i do appreciate it's hum. On NewEgg someone mentioned that nero didn't work wi/ his HP laptop. This is true, the Program just hangs. I don't know why they would bundel the software with the burner if it won't work, or peraps it's just us unfortuante HP ZD8000 people plauged w/ problems. I do think it has something to do with the USB drive. There is an easy way around this however... Simply unplug the burner, prep nero for the burn on the TSSTcorp, then just before the burn, I'll plug in the LH-20A1HX, then just switch the drive in nero. Then nero doesn't screw up, however don't really use nero much, just thought i should put it out there. Anyway, thank you guys agian.
  8. Yea.. it appears that USB is just a little faster. USB seems to be aval. like on 90% of the drives Vs an option for i.Link (thats same as IEEE right? cause that what i'm tring to say.) There is 1 issue in this forum that metions an issue with the LH-20A1HX. He had problems copying Xbox360 games... Since i really have no intention on that, I think it's a safe buy... I'll try it out... I herd NewEgg.com was a good place to buy.. i'll try them for this... thanxfor all the help all, Hopfully, I'll be burning later this week!
  9. OK so what do we think about Lite-On's External LH-20A1HX ? Quick question... Is IEEE better than USB 2.0?
  10. WOW! OK thank you soo much... I'm glad I asked.. If i'm paying more $$$ for plextor i'd like to get a genuine Plextor, not a re-distibuted cheap-o. So thanks -good call.(i knew I loved this forum for a reason!) I'll go research a bit more about the pioneers just mentioned (i hope their external, i really am afraid i'll screw up with housing and encloures etc.) And, yea speed is really not my biggest issue, so i'll re-evalute those other, more genuine, Plextor drives metioned as well... Thanks so much agian
  11. Sorry to bother, little off topic, I'm sure some of you remeber my issues with burning. I think I am going to get a new drive considering my other options are exausted. Well, Doing my HW, in looking for a new drive, I find myself more comfortable getting an external drive. I trust you guys, and so I just wanted to get some feedback/opinion from you people. I am intrested in the " Plextor px-755uf ". Has anyone had any experience with this drive? I have a HP ZD8000 P4 3.4Ghz 2Gig RAM , firewire Thanks for any input
  12. yes, yes i c now. Thank you...
  13. I burned an image to a DVD-RW and instead of getting the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS subfolder i got "IMG (folder) , UNI_LINK (HTML), and a VIDEO_TS" - Was this due to the Image preporation or did i mess with a setting i should have not of... The DVD plays in all the players, esspecailly the sound is all there.... The DVD itself breaks down at the menu, becomes pixlated, and disorted, but the sound is there. - This is probably my failing drive / DVD-Dye I'm just curious to the diffrent folders on the DVD if it means anything...
