  1. Lightning UK!, my apologies..lol.. :innocent: Wasn't sure how to do that until you kindly instructed me how to in your last response.....Here is what you asked for originally..You are right, when I go into My Computer, it's like my cd/dvd-rom device has totally disappeared...Called Dell, since it's a Dell XPS 200 Desktop and they have advised me to back everything like photos and music and docs up and do a system restore which would wipe all of that stuff out, but reconnect my device...seems awful drastic to me....Can you offer a suggestion? Would be most grateful!

  2. Does explorer see your drives? i.e. are they visible in 'My Computer' ?

You've probably got a dodgy filter driver installed that's messing everything up.

I think you are probably right about the filter..what would I do to fix this? When I look at the filters in ImgBurn, it shows CD/DVD ROM device and then about of N/A's next to version information. I don't know how this happened or why...I burnt a disc successfully last night before I went to bed...can you give me some insight on how to fix this? I am pretty new at dealing with problems like these..

    Thanks in advance! ;)

  3. Help! I could use some advice here. I am still a beginner of sorts..can kinda feel my way around and have been using ImgBurn for over a year with great success. I am no getting a message indicating Devices not found when I start the program. Here is a copy of the log:

    I 10:52:47 Initialising SPTI...

I 10:52:47 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

    W 10:52:47 No devices detected!

I don't know what to do. Can someone please help? Thanks to everyone in advance.
