casketizer Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 (edited) Hi I just burned my first BD and I have some questions: Is it ok to put additional files in the root dir of a BDMV disc? Namely a txt/nfo file? Or will that break compatibility with standalones and/or the PS3? Secondly I was shocked how long all the formatting and zeroing took (3h) before i could actually burn... Are all these certified formatting and zeroing really needed? Is there any guide here in the forum that explains all the BDRE formatting options? Is BDRE Fastwrite unsafe, or why is it disabled by default? EDIT:Found the answers in the settings guide, had overlooked them first.
