problem with saw 2

help

just tried to back up saw 2 dvd

 

used dvdfab decrypter then shrink then image tool classic however when tried to burn with imgburn got error message

this is the same method (apart from using dvd decrypter previously to burn after making the image)

that i have used many times previously with no problems at all until this week when i have had a couple of problems basically getting the same message

 

burner Philips dvd+ rw dvd8601

 

media Muller dvd +

 

i have cleaned the dvds and drive tray

 

any ideas

It?d be interesting to see if you still had problems after flashing your drive as a BenQ 1620.

 

There?s some links below if you want to try it but it?s not recommended if you?re a bit iffy about stuffing around with your hardware.

yeah i've thought about it but haven't made up my mind yet i think i'll just end up giving this piece of dell c... to the kids and get a decent pc when i can get the money together i've had nothing but problems with it since i got it

anyway i finally got my problem sorted after 6 coasters and my third lot of discs

I actually encountered a similar problem with my Philips 8631. Here's a link to the thread so you can see what I went through.

 

Error burning image files with ImgBurn and CloneDVD

 

I got my drive replaced by DELL with a Philips 8701. Once I got it, I was burning successfully again. For the hell of it, I cross-flashed it to a BenQ 1640, and it works fine.

 

Just thought I'd provide some input seeing as how I had the same problem.
