Yet Another.... Device not ready- Medium not present

I know you have answered many on the exact same topic, but my searches haven't found a solution to this one. Been using ImgBurn for a good year plus on another machine. This drive appears fine for normal Windows 7 burning on this machine.

 

I'm using the standard Verbatum DL which has worked in the past with different burners. I'm attempting an xbox360 burn, but as you can see... the timeframe is terrible. I've actually waited out the 3+hrs to burn a .iso and unfortunately it did fail at the end.

(no I didn't capture that log sorry)

 

Any ideas? I've checked the firmware and it is up to date. The biggest wait is before each "BUFFER" line, I'm a n3wb with hardware.

 

Couple of quick hit items to list:

- DMA is enabled on the controller.

- Drive is attached via SATA

- Drive works with a standard Win7 data burn

- Drive FW is up to date (as I know how) (v1.02)

- The drive "Get Configurations" timeframes happen with or without media inserted.

- Nothing is accessing drive while opening ImgBurn

 

Log starts as ImgBurn is opened @ (12:36:02)and program is useless(locked). It does eventually end its drive seeking, but I couldn't wait for it this round. Then if I attempt to burn an .iso after it completes the same process is revisited again.

What controller is your drive actually attached to? (Make/model)

 

It's not normal for the drive to show up as 'Fibre' so I'm guessing that's the issue.

 

You've either got screwed up drivers installed or the drive just doesn't like being on that controller full stop.

Sorry for the length of time. The controller is "NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller"

 

If you need further specifics I can try to pull what Win7 can give me.

It's not normal for the drive to show up as 'Fibre' so I'm guessing that's the issue.

Try the latest Windows 7 nforce drivers from the nvidia site, that's really all I can suggest.
