RpmSteve Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Hey guys, first and foremost, I've never burned a dvd before so I'm please be patient with me if I dont make much sense. I have a 2006 infiniti FX35 and I downloaded the updated navigation program which now needs to burned to a dual layer verbatim dvd+R. Below are the instructions I followed. Instructions: Experienced Users: Use 7-Zip to decompress files by opening n75.7z.001; WinRAR or WinZip will probably not work. Beginners: Use a BitTorrent client (e.g. uTorrent, Vuze, or Deluge) to download and open the torrent file. The BitTorrent client will then begin to download the actual navigation DVD files. Once the download is completed, use 7-Zip to open "n75.7z.001." Extract the bin and cue files to anywhere on your computer. Use burning software (e.g. IMGBurn) to write the image file onto a dual layer DVD; direct the software to your cue file rather than the bin file. Notes: 1. Total file size after extraction will be 7.13GB. The MD5 checksums for the bin and cue file are 12037aca1989cb31a91197639c72cd7b and 0fc2a3e921c789d9fcedc89fcf7db9bc, respectively. 2. Download 7-Zip from 7-zip.org. IMGBurn can be found at imgburn.com. 3. You are strongly encouraged to use a Verbatim dual layer DVD for this disc, as Verbatims tend to be highly reliable compared to other brands. 4. The cue file has important layer break information and is needed for your burning software to correctly burn the bin file. Therefore, it is important that you do not select the bin file directly when burning the image in your burning software. Doing so would likely create a disc incompatible with your navigation system. 5. Please seed after you've completed downloading. Downloading this disc would not have been possible if it were not for others seeding for you. I haver verbatim discs and I have the 7 zip and IMG burn the software. I extracted the bin and cue files and I ended up with a 7.13GB cue file like the instructions mentioned, but when I burn the cue file to the dvd, I get this: I 01:03:32 Writing Layer 0...
