i'd got the same problem trying to burn another image iso in a 4.7gb (TDK) instead of a 1.4gb (TDK too.

I'm using a Vaio and Windows 7, drivers are updated.

Thanx for your time

Because the burner in your Vaio doesn't support the blanks you're using. And please do update ImgBurn on all your computers because we don't support old versions.

Ok, new log from Imgburn 2.5, same ISO and Verbating-R disc.....same problem.

You drive reports only 1/3 of the sectors that should be on a blanc -R disc.

If it's not caused by this:

  • 6 years later...

I finally bought an external USB Burner and all problems were solved.  Seems my old Laptop DVD Burner isn't cutting the mustard anymore, so I assume that a good cleaning is the issue.  I was being told it was my Disc's, but I use the better Verbatim all the time (bout a hundred a month) for data burning and never and issue.  Also, my problem was also that my Old Media Jukebox 12 views both of my burners, but could not find a way to direct it to the new one regardless of my settings. IMGBurn is awesome.
