Hi - new to ImgBurn and burning in general so forgive me if I'm doing something really stupid. Burn seems to go OK but when it goes to verify every single item gets the "L-EC uncorrectable error" - log below (stopped the verification as I didnt think you'd want reams of the same error.)

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Not sure if it is the image, the DVD, the software or just me. Using brand new Imation DVD +R and throwing them away every 10 minutes - I'll be broke by the time I get this sorted!

Update your firmware.

Try burning at 8x instead of 'MAX'.

You'd be better off with some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs too.

Try to install the latest firmware for it.

http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/SHW-160P6S/files.html

16x as burning speed might be to fast. Try one of the lower ones.

(Speeds: 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x)

Edit:

Mrs C Late here. :(

Thanks will try later. Got round my initial problem by mounting to a virtual drive and then just copying the files using windows. A bit primative I know, but it got me going.
