Cant Burn Fast Then 2.4x

i burner cant burn up to 16x dual layered and everything i am burning is only burning at 2.4x can someone help me with this i use img burn and nero to burn all my stuff i dunno what happened that all of a sudden my stuff is only burning at 2.4x any help would be gr8 guys thx

The window on the right hand side shows info about your drive and media. Just copy and paste it here so we can see what's going on. It'll look like this:

and i know my burner burns up to 16x and its dual layered burner but i dont know what going on that i can only burn at 2.4 x speed

where did you find that firmware and how long have you had it installed?

i dunno just recently my burner started burning at this speed the last week id say can you tell me whats wrong with it

well if it has been burning fast with that firmware on it then you must have dma problems.

look at this and be sure to delete your controller and re-boot

i was gonna reformatt will that help or no and where do i get vsom and i was wondering if you know how all out of the blue this would just start burning at 2.4 i didnt do anything no downloads or anything thx

you can get VSOM from the link i posted in post #6.

re-formatting is a bit drastic if everything else is ok.

is it just these discs that show 2.4x max or is it the same with other discs?

all discs tayio yudens verbatims and verbatim dual layerd there all are 2.4x speed even my verbatims that burns at 16x

i tried VSOM and its saying error no match drive detected this utility is only for lite on dvdrw sohw-832s drive then it says detected drives 0-0-0-0-E lite on dvdrw sohw-832s VTS3

Pretty sure that's saying your drive is OEM. In order to flash it with 832 firmware (which is what your trying to do by the way w/ VSOM) you'll probably need to use FlashFix or something like it to get it to work. In essence you'd be converting it to a stock Liteon 832.
