Just curious if I have a bad batch of media, this error is happening often, though sometimes when I put in a different disc from the same batch it works...

Thanks for any help...

Is this a dumb question....I used the search to look up any info on Power Calibration Area Errors in this forum and the only thing I found was the "use verbatim disks" page, which I am using so why hasn't anybody responded...

Because we don't all live in the same timezone and some of us like to sleep now and then.

What you've got there are the new style (cheaper) LTH discs. They're not as compatible with drives as the old style HTL discs.

If you're having problems with them, don't use them.

Oh yeah, sleep...forgot you we're human....so i normally just go to Fry's and buy whatever Verbatims they sell, if I order online, is there a way to know for sure I'm getting the better (HTL) disc? I did notice the dye was yellow on this batch (LTH)...

Thanks again...
