I've changed the book type to match DVD-R media, cleaned the laser lens with a DVD Lens Cleaner, and have tried burning at slower speeds. ImgBurn is telling me that I am using the latest firmware for my drive. Attached you will find more details that were found in the log file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The logs looks to me as a burner that gone crappy. Tried to run a cleaning disc through it? I've changed the book type to match DVD-R media, Not sure what you mean with that. DVD-R can't be book typed like +R media can. I was the burner was bad. I've had the DVD burner for about 5 years, the CD burner is much older, but still functions well. loooking Posted March 13, 2012 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I burn tons of DVDs (> 2K a year) when I get that error "Layouts do not match" time to toss drive. Problem gone.
