DunxUK Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 This is a new stack of Asda DVD-R 16x discs which I usually have no problems with, however IMGBURN only offers 2x as the available burning speed. Cynthia Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 It's not ImgBurn that is only offering the 2x write speed. It's your burner (firmware) that only supports them at 2x. A more "modern" burner should be able to write them at faster speed. It makes sense that it is the drive, unfortunately the firmware you kindly provided the link to is not compatible with the drive which makes no sense. I think I am stuck with this!
