Access denied as restricted user

Hi, I get this log when starting ImgBurn ...

The oddity is:

 

If I first once start CDBurnerXP, close it and restart ImgBurn, I have access to the TSSTcorp drive.

I have to do this each time, after I have disconnected the drive from USB. I'm runnig WinXP.

Additional info: For another reason I don't know, CDBurnerXP takes 5..10 minutes to start completely and at this time it mostly causes to block the whole system, but no exceptional CPU or disk use is indicated. After it mostly doesn't work correctly/blocks again. IIRC, disconnecting the internal DVD-ROM or CD-RW helped, don't remember exactly. ... but in the end CDBurnerXP helps to run ImgBurn after ?-)

 

BTW: I have same problem/phenomenom with Nero 5.5.

 

Starting ImgBurn "as Administrator", there are no problems (but doesn't have the durable enabling effect from CDBurnerXP):

So the question is, if ImgBurn could learn something from CDBurnerXP on how to run with restricted account privileges from the 1st try.

You're lucky to have any sort of access to the drives when using XP and logged on as a restricted user... normally you don't. This is covered in the FAQ.

btw, your version of ImgBurn is out of date.
