LIGHTNING UK!
I very much doubt anything you found just laying around on your hdd (unless you specifically put it there) is actually suitable. Why do you want a startup discs? What do you actually want it to do?
loveski16
because i have a second computer that has already been determined to need a startup disk to repair the startup problems. so i have to create a startup disk(or so i was told) to boot it. it will not boot in normal or safe mode. it only boots to the first dos window and re-starts. i have had 2 technicians tell me i need a windows vista startup disk to make it boot
LIGHTNING UK!
Try the following on your 'working' computer (if it's Vista too)... Start -> All Programs -> Maintenance -> Create a System Repair Disc. Did you buy that PC from a store? Did it not come with an OS installation / repair type disc? Some even let you repair / reinstall by pressing a certain key whilst on the BIOS screen.
