Smallen Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) So my father had very old cine film converted onto a DVD by a company and he was guaranteed that he would be able to burn this one DVD onto other blanks, so he asked me to do this as he isn't the best with computers, I then quickly googled how to transfer files from one DVD to another and was shortly brought to ImgBurn, I had the files from the original DVD on my computer and so I went ahead using ImgBurn to burn the files onto the disk, it was all going smoothly till it came to checking the DVD to see if it read and it failed every sector, it went up to about sector 200 and had failed every single one so I gave up and closed the program. Does anyone know what the problem is? I am using Verbatim DVD-RW and I made sure it was writing at 4x which is what the disk says. Thanks, Sam. P.S I tried the disk on my DVD player and the files seem to be there but the player says it cannot play these files. LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 The program saves the log automatically when you close it down. You can access old logs via the 'Help' menu. If all you're doing is burning a disc and trying to get it to verify, try using some write once (DVD-R / DVD+R) discs instead of rewritable stuff. If you must use rewritables, try doing a full erase on them first - oh and make sure they are clean - no fingerprints / dust / scratches etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
