Okay, hey everyone, how are you all?

For some reason for the psst 3 days I've been getting I/O errors out of nowhere.

I use the same discs all the time and work fine, I've burnt new XDG3 games off recently and all of a sudden, I/O errors started occurring.

if anyone know why this may be, please help as I need these discs ASAP.

here is the llog:

Here is my 10 cents,If you have been using the discs ( RICOHJPN-D01-67) before and only now this error appears it is

most likely you 1) require a firmware update 2) have come across a poor quality

batch/set of discs with inferior dye.

Discs carrying the MID code of "RICOHJPN-D01-67" are well renounded to

have a substandard quality of dye and layer composition, I would advise you

recheck all the content you have burnt onto those discs to be on the safe side.

Definately, try other discs (esp Verbatim/TDK) at the a lower speed of 2x. If it still happens

and you updated the firmware it could be a sign of laser deterioration on your drive

and in that case you will have to seek a replacement burner.

Thanks a lot for the reply, my drive is a B model IHAS and it is very new... sort of.

And I bought a pack of 50 of the same discs. They were in two cases 25 in one 25 in the other. My first 25 GREAT! This batch not seeming to work :( I do hope it is what you told me, as I paid £50 for my Ihas and I've only had it for a couple of months. Also, what could need updating? And how? Thanks.

Its the firmware that could need updating. Find out what firmware you are currently running on your drive now. You can do this on imgburn, by clicking on 'mode' then 'discovery' then 'drive' then find out if you can update the firmware. It should take you to a website called 'Firmware HQ'. Its completely safe! I have used the site to update my Pioneer drive, only yesterday! I think it definitely improved its burning performance. Updating firmware does carry risk (it involves 'reflashing' the drive and altering its internal functioning capacity) but the risks are minimal if you make sure not to interrupt it while its updating, make sure no disc is in the drive while updating and MAKE SURE you download the correct update that corresponds with your EXACT drive model.

Thanks mate, I'll quote you again if there's a problem. Thanks for the help.
