OldAmsXXXdam Posted December 30, 2013 Share Posted December 30, 2013 It seems not 1 but quite a few anti-virus scanners block this program from even downloading. My nod32 also blocks this program from downloading this imgburn and offers to terminate download and delete what is left. The author of imgburn claims it is not his/her error but that of the AV-vendor. Claims users should contact the AV authors so a next anti-virus update should not ring the alarm. Supposedly these are ALL false positives. Though My nod32 at least has always preventied downloading imgburn since 2010 versions 2.5.1.0. LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 30, 2013 Share Posted December 30, 2013 The 'false positive' statement depends on what the AV scanner is actually finding. Some may prevent you downloading / running unsigned exe files. Some may pick up on the setup as being powered by OpenCandy and classing it an optional but 'potentially unwanted program' (PUP). ImgBurn.exe is perfectly clean but sometimes they don't like the UPX compression used on it to make it smaller. And just like the setup exe, that isn't signed either.
