Hey guys whats going on, well I am getting an I/O Error every so often. I have the correct or I think I have the correct settings for ImgBurn, for making backups of my Xbox 360 games.  I have burned many games, and sometimes I get an I/O error. Idk why or what gives. But when I do, I just restart the computer and burn again and I get a good burn. 100% complete.  Is there a reason to this or method??

Also Here is my Log from an I/O Error:

You appear to be using low quality UME discs rather than the decent MKM ones that everywhere/one recommends.

I dont have any issues with the discs, they Have always worked for me flawlessly. They are the same disc as the MKM these can just be printed on.

I dont think it has to do with the disc at all.

they are the same disc mate, how can you say they are not, they are verbatim discs made from the same shit. these u can just print on. how can they be different???

and im looking for an answer besides ohhh ur using shitty discs. cuz I burned many many games with these discs and get no errors running thru xbox. I get better Kprobe results than some of my friends with these discs, sometimes I get I/O errrors and I wonder why.

Different dye, different MID, different burning strategy in the drive's firmware.

If they're branded as verbatim, they're probably from their basic / value range.

You're getting write errors because your drive can't burn to them. They might scan ok when you do get an ok one, but you get far more bad ones that just fail than you would with a spindle of mkm-003-00 discs.

And how do you know this?

They arent branded Verbatim, They are made by Verbatim. It is the same disc as the mkm-003 just these u can print on. I dont see how u see a difference any information  u can send my way.

Like I said out of the 50 that come in a spindle Ill get about 8 to 10 I/O Errors, so I really dont think it is the disc.

Hey Lightning. OK everytime I burn they burn fine. It is when they go to Verify that it gets to about 45-49% and I get I/O Error. What could be the cause of this?

And do I have to Verify the Games being Burnt? Or is it safe to uncheck Verify?

I just burnt 5 games fine, but last one I forgot to uncheck Verify and it got the I/O error

If they don't verify, it means the drive can't read the disc.

It's not a good sign if the drive that just burnt it can't read it.... Obviously it didn't burn it very well.

Telling the program not to verify doesn't make it any more or less readable, it just means the program can't tell you there are problems.

The Optiarc 5280-CB-Plus is a good drive for overburning Dvd+R DL discs, yes. It will overburn mkm-03-00 with minimal fuss.
