Imgburn creating 33.2 GB file from a 3.4 GB DVD... umm, help?

Hi Folks,

 

Long time casual imgburn user, first time poster.

 

I am having an issue I've never experienced before. I was attempting to copy a video DVD of a church service for a friend, but when I attempt to create an .iso file for burning to DVD, I end up with a 33.2 GB .iso file from the 3.49 GB DVD. The only error reported is "LOGICAL BLOCK ADDRESS OUT OF RANGE". I'll go ahead and throw out again that I am a casual user of imgburn (maybe a dozen times a year, maybe), so I have no idea what the issue may be. I thought it might some type of bizarre copy protection, though I don't know of anything like this out there. Perhaps I'm missing a setting I never had to mess with before? If this is a common issue, and covered elsewhere in the forums, I apologize in advance, but I did try to search for the topic prior to posting. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Just for completeness, could you copy and paste all of the disc info from the box on the right when you're in Read mode with that disc in the drive please.

 

Try the newer firmware on your drive, it's currently misreporting certain info about the disc.

The firmware fixed the issue. Don't know why I didn't check that before, but it completely slipped my mind. I suppose sometimes we just need somebody to smack us in the back of the head and point to the fix.
