dbminter Posted April 30, 2015 Share Posted April 30, 2015 LG Blu-Ray drives certainly are rotten readers. They take about twice as long to read data from all types of discs versus my Pioneer. They will many times be unable to read data from discs that my Pioneer can. I've experienced this behavior on 2 different LG Blu-Ray drives. Of course, the only difference between the drives was the item number, the firmware revision, and the maximum speed for burning BD-R. Basically, the two drives were relatively the same. Same firmware revision numbers across both drives. Just the maximum burning speed for BD-R had been increased from the older model. The item numbers were relatively similar.
