I have been burning with these same settings for months.  Over 3000 audio CD's.  I was in the middle of doing 100 CD's and all of a sudden this error keeps popping up.  Please Help!

There's no real solution to that.

Try another USB port, another able etc.

The very short timeout may have always been in play but only now is it getting stuck doing something and it actually causing a problem.

Does the drive have the same problem if you slow the write speed down or try and burn different discs?

Yeah, that error with USB drives unfortunately really has no solution.  What's weird in this case is that it suddenly popped up after working all this time?  Or is this a new drive you haven't tried yet in your burning of discs?

Also, you should avoid CMC media.  They're the manufacturer of the worst optical media out there.  While that won't help fix the problem here, it's the cause of a whole lot of errors we see on this board.
