Can't burn mp3 files to CD-R

Last month everything worked normal. This week i just cant burn any mp3 discs. At some point burning just stops and error pops up. Thank you.

Your drive is reporting a write error, so it's having trouble burning to the discs you're using.

 

Try setting the write speed to 8x rather than max or use some different discs.

I was using same discs all the time, so that shouldn't be a problem. I tryed 8x and same problem

I doubt it's really empty, your drive just isn't seeing that it just burnt it. Look at the bottom of the disc, is there any visible ring on it?

 

It might be worth trying another burn having enabled the 'perform opc before write' option in the settings.

 

After that, you're going to have to try some different discs, cleaning the drive and possibly even replacing it.

 

8x wasn't supported by your drive / firmware / media combo, so it burnt at 16x that first time anyway. 24x would be the next one to try.

There is no visible ring on disc. After "burning" disc is still 100% empty.

I enabled "perform opc before write" and it doesn't help. And tried 24x speed aswell...

I've used those discs before and everything worked just fine.

 

If i do not enable "verify" there is no error and it says burning completed, but disc is still empty. I really hope we find a solution. Thanks

You'll have to do what I said in my last reply.

A problem like this coming up out of the clear blue sounds to me indicative of a failing drive.  It works one day and doesn't the next I would generally pin on needing to replace the drive.  The other option I'd look into is if the same manufacturer made the discs that worked before and didn't now.  You'd need to check to see if the Disc ID listed in the log is still the same.  If it is, then there could be a change in the manufacturing process by Ritek.  Highly unlikely, but it could be the case.
