You locked the topic (http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/24724-your-download-site-is-contaminated/) so I cannot reply in that thread. While, Mr Jopi would be more correctly categorized as Mr IT-Unprofessional, he is "essentially" correct. You have apparently chosen to use OpenCandy in your installer. It is produced by SweetLabs and was originally created by the developers of DivX. This component has been classified as Malware by just about every anti-virus/malware software on the planet due to its highly undesirable effects. Even if you choose to not install the additionally recommended software, it still silently installs undesirable software. There was a work around for ImgBurn to download the installer, disconnect from the internet, and then install to prevent OpenCandy from downloading and install those components. However, as your installer is now just a wrapper that downloads the actual install, a common practice by developers to insure the latest version is installed, this work-around no longer works. If you search the internet for any various combination of the terms ImgBurn, Symantec, OpenCandy, etc, you will find numerous pages enumerating these issues. As it stands most of your potentials users cannot install ImgBurn because their protection software will, legitimately, block it.
Could you please look into and address this issue. I donated several years ago after downloading your software and found myself using it regularly. It really does work very well. However, after a recent re-image at work to fix a borked install from Corporate, I am no longer able to install/use your software.

No longer able to install is bollocks. You've got multiple options

1. Temp disable internet access. No internet? The opencandy dll can't load offers
2. LOOK at the screens, don't go 'next next next', some offers ! LOOK unable to deselect but they're not
3. Launch the installer with the /nocandy switch
4. Extract the setup with something like 7zip, WinRAR,... and pull the exe. You won't have any desktop icon, or start menu entries by default but the program itself will work just fine.

And probably a few more

Opencandy shut down in July 2016 I believe.

All of the 3rd party mirror sites should be hosting a 100% ‘clean’ version of the installer.

I certainly haven’t ‘wrapped’ anything.
Please don't PM me with questions that should be posted in the forum. I won't reply - Especially if you have post count of 0!!!
