I/O error when burning DVDs

Hi!

Today, I tried to burn a DVD-R and got this error.

I/O Error!

Device: [0:0:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW SU-208FB TF01 (F:) (SATA)

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 64-95

SK Interpretation: Medium Error
ASC/ASCQ Interpretation: Program Memory Area Update Failure

 

 

I tried burning using "ISO9660+Joliet",  "ISO9660+UDF", "ISO9660+Joliet+UDF"

UDF version was 1.02

OPC is not checked.

Under Help, choose ImgBurn logs.  Open the log and find the appropriate burn where it failed and copy and paste that part of the log.

 

If I had to hazard a guess, you're probably using Verbatim Life Series CMC media or some other cheap discs that is causing the problem.  The log will tell us that.

First, Thanks for taking your time to look into my problem! ^_^

And as for your requests,

The log file txt at "C:\Users\..\AppData\Roaming\ImgBurn\Log Files" were empty.

So I copy-pasted what was in the ImgBurn Log window.

Yes, Ritek media can be iffy.  It's not as cheap as CMC, but it is a lesser tier media.  It's been known to cause issues with some drives.

 

Try Verbatim DataLife Plus DVD-R which you can only find online.  NOT the Verbatim Life Series you'll find in stores.  That will be CMC garbage.
