Recommended Posts

Hi

I've had to reinstall Imgburn and now I can't drag and drop the folders/files as I did before  .... what setting do I need to check?

Thanks in advance for any help!;)

How did you drag and drop them before? What's different now?

Make sure you aren't running the app as 'admin', drag and drop won't always work between Explorer and ImgBurn if you do. Also, if the installer launches the app, it'll be running as admin... so just close it and open it again.

Odd.  Why wouldn't drag and drop work in ImgBurn if it's running as an Administrator?

Ah, I did not know that.  And, Explorer.exe doesn't run at a high level of access?  I would have thought, if anything, explorer.exe would have the highest access imaginable.

It's to do with that UAC stuff... as in, where it prompts you to perform certain 'admin' type operations. It runs at a lower level to keep you safer.

Yes, that makes sense.  Many times Explorer has refused to delete files, even when I'm the administrator.  So, it must not have higher privileges to do that.
