Trying to stream ISO File

Hi Everyone! I'm still enjoying my IMGburn app and have another question. I recently was put on to the website Orb. It's for remotely streaming various media to another pc or pda etc. I watch a lot of anime and movies and the movies I do like I burn an ISO image with IMGburn of course. I can't stream ISO images though. It gives me an error stating that I need another codec to view that image. Now keep in mind I have most if not all codecs needed to view the media I have on my hard drive. I've been able to play every type of file you can think of and have hit a brick wall with ISO's.

I have noticed that it will play the .VOB files from a DVD, but it will not play an ISO at all. Is this because an ISO is more like a zip file that needs to be extracted to reveal the files inside or is there a codec or software that will actually stream this? Now so you know, Orb relies on the codecs stored on the home pc it is streaming from so while I'm including that I have the phone with the following stats, I will also include that stats for my laptop. The million dollar question is how the hell can VLC player just play an ISO, but I magically don't have the codec to stream it? LOL!!

So you know I'm streaming this onto my Motorola Q9c, which is an awesome toy/phone to have if you have a good carrier.

Phone Info(although it's probably irrelevent because my pc needs the codecs)

Windows mobile 6.0

Windows Media Player 10 Mobile

320Mhz processor

PC Info

Dell Inspiron

Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

1.7ghz Pentium M

2G RAM

VLC Player installed(to play ISO's)

Windows Media 10

Real Player

Divx Player

Quicktime

I can go on. Please Help!! :(

can't see orb being able to stream ISO images. I use it and I would not even attempt to stream an iso as I know it will not be supported vlc mounts it first i assume, I also assume orb and many other media streaming capable players will not be able to do it. I stream to my n95 with orb internally and a few other media servers I have

Also orb goes out to internet and then comes back to local, I prefer http://www.tversity.com/download/ as it streams to local from local (as in internal network)

VLC uses its own plugins to decode/play content (this is also why it works the same way on any supported OS), and one of those plugins allows it to play content directly from an ISO image.

Most players rely on Windows' DirectShow framework to decode/play content, and, as far as I know, there isn't a DirectShow filter that allows playing video content directly from an ISO image.

Thank you for the heads up. So at least I know now to stop wasting my time trying to stream them. With that said, I have two more questions.

1. Do you have advice for an application I can use to extract certain files i.e. those .vob files that will stream using orb? If it extracts all thats fine.

2. Dontasciime, what would be the benefit of TVersity streaming to local from local? Does it cut down on upload or download times? I'm a bit interested in trying it out.

Thanks for you help again!!
