Power Calibration Error

Recommended Posts

Hello

I am using ASUS ASUS DRW 2014L1T burner and authentic Mitsubishi media made by MCC. Why do I get this error:

W 21:12:29 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

W 21:12:29 Retrying (1 of 20)...

Now it is writing the on the Disc, but does it mean that there is some problems with my burner? The firmware is latest.

Please help.

Thank you

I don't really see anything wrong and that might have just been a Freudian slip unless it happens all the time.

I 21:11:48 Write Type: Incremental

Just curious why you've changed to incremental writing vs. the default DAO/SAO setting?

I am sorry, I found this graph file being the first one in the GraphData folder, and I thought this must be the corresponding burn log. I thougt Imgburn automatically saves the Graph Data file :(

I have changed it to incremental, because, Lightning_UK once advised me to do so because all the discs burnt with ImgBurn was failing Data Verification whereas Nero did not have any trouble whatsoever.

Is it possible to get the graph data of the above burn anyway? Then I shall be happy to post it here if that helps.

Now, I have tried to burn again another Folder in Build+Burn mode, and following is the log:

I 08:39:34 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!

I 08:39:34 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)

I 08:39:34 Total Physical Memory: 2,874,476 KB - Available: 1,911,848 KB

I 08:39:34 Initialising SPTI...

I 08:39:34 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 08:39:38 Found 2 DVD-ROMs and 2 DVD

The graph data files can be found at Main menu->Help->Imgburn Graph Data...

The graph for the first file is: ASUS_DRW-2014L1T_1.02_WEDNESDAY-NOVEMBER-05-2008_9-11_PM_MCC_03RG20_8x.ibg

The second log is : ASUS_DRW-2014L1T_1.02_THURSDAY-NOVEMBER-06-2008_8-56_AM_MCC_03RG20_8x.ibg
